Starting a Chapter

Why Start a Chapter?

Gain valuable leadership experience and enhance your college application while making a difference in your community. Earn service hours and develop skills that will benefit both your personal growth and future opportunities.

Apply to Become a Chapter Director

Fill out our Chapter Application Form to express your interest. Once we contact you, gather at least 5 enthusiastic members to join your chapter and participate in a STEM lesson to understand our programs. We look forward to helping you get started!

Build Your Team

President: Lead the chapter, oversee operations, and check in with the Division Director each week ensuring all sign-ups are filled out.
Vice President: Support the President, lead officer meetings, and manage any issues that arise to ensure smooth chapter operations.
Secretary: Manage Google Classroom, post lesson videos, presentations, and send meeting reminders and recaps.
Treasurer: Manage the spreadsheet for volunteer hours, verify accuracy, and ensure proper recording of hours.
Public Relations: Manage Instagram, post reminders, and updates, and coordinate with the corporate PR team.

Establishing a Successful Chapter

Attend Training: Coordinate with our corporate board to set up and participate in training sessions, available both in person and virtually, to effectively prepare for running your chapter.
Promote Your Chapter: Share information about your new STEMsters chapter with your school and community to build awareness and attract interest.
Engage Volunteers: Actively reach out to potential volunteers, encouraging their involvement to strengthen your chapter.
